Cancellation and Return Policy

At The Xocolatl, we are committed to delivering handcrafted chocolates and desserts that bring moments of indulgence and joy. Please read our policy to understand your options for cancellations, returns, and refunds:

Cancellations

  • Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of placing the order.
  • Cancellation requests after this time frame will not be accommodated due to the handcrafted and perishable nature of our products.
  • To cancel an order, please email us at info@thexocolatl.com with your order details.

Returns

  • To be eligible for a return, you must place the request within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Returns will only be accepted under the following circumstances:
    • The item received is incorrect or does not match your order.
    • The product was damaged during transit.

To process a return, please provide:

  • A clear photo of the product and its packaging showing the issue.
  • Proof of purchase or order details.

Conditions for Returns

  • Returns are only applicable for unopened and unused products in their original condition and packaging.
  • Products must have been stored as per our recommendations (e.g., in a cool, dry place).
  • Items mishandled or not stored correctly after delivery will not qualify for a return.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Due to the perishable nature of chocolates, we cannot accept returns for dissatisfaction with taste.
  • Customized or personalized products are non-returnable.
  • Sale or discounted items and gift cards are not eligible for returns.

Return Shipping & Refund Terms

  • Please note that in the event of an approved return, refunds will be processed for the product amount only. Shipping charges are non-refundable, and the customer will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
  • We recommend using a reliable courier service with tracking to ensure safe return of the product. The Xocolatl will not be responsible for lost or damaged returns.

Refunds

  • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
  • Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the refund.

Damages and Issues

  • Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately with the necessary details so we can resolve the issue promptly.
